Something New

“’Behold, I will do something new,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.
‘The beasts of the field will glorify Me,
The jackals and the ostriches,
Because I have given waters in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert,
To give drink to My chosen people.
‘The people whom I formed for Myself
Will declare My praise.’”*

It seems proper, for the first post on a new blog, to use a verse about doing something new. Even more, I have thought about this verse many times since returning from the Institute for Global Opportunities missions’ training school a couple of years ago. You could say “new things” has been a theme for me lately. From new friends and new responsibilities, to marriage and parenting–many new things have developed in the last couple of years. God has done good new things and some new things that, to me, look bad. Nevertheless, God has worked and I have tried to keep up with Him and to learn and grow as He places His sanctifying chisel on my heart.

Sometimes my posts may come from deep emotion. Other times they might just be simple truths I’m discovering, or merely my opinion on a particular matter. They will not always be right, but they will be process. And if you happen to read my posts, I hope and trust they will be meaningful to you wherever you’re at in your journey.

I welcome your interaction with any of my posts. Journeys should be shared and discussed, so as I journey, share with me your journey (if you don’t mind) and I trust together we will all be made more like Christ—fully—in our way of thinking and lifestyle of living.
