This week, I connected again with my friend Keeshon Washington to tackle the subject of racism. Well, we didn’t really tackle it… there’s so much to this conversation that we couldn’t get to in just a couple of hours.
But we did address why we need to have conversations about racism, why we should talk with friends of color about their experiences, what racism even means, and how parents who adopt children of color should parent their kids.
If you’d like to connect with Keeshon, you can reach him at keeshonwashington@gmail.com or on Facebook. Also, check out Keeshon’s blog (Urbanite Musings), where he is currently running a series called What Mennonites Have Wrong about Racism.
