As Carlos Whittaker says, “Don’t stand on issues; walk with people.”
Don’t stand on the issue of racism, critical theory, wokeness, or whatever. Walk with people. Hear their stories. Learn to see the world through their eyes, and we can better understand the various issues of our day.
I recently had the privilege of sitting down with Daniel and June Pollard and hearing their story and what they wish the church could hear about being black in America and the need for racial reconciliation in our churches. I share our conversation with you in this week’s Unfeigned Christianity episode.
Check out Restorative Faith on Facebook for more resources on race perspectives and relationships, particularly in an Anabaptist context.
